No one has even called to see that car .

He says in the ad '' 1st to see will buy ''

2 different numbers on the ad also

It would probably help if it didn't have those god-awful alloys.

But over 2.0 ltr and soft top insurance hike, can see a demand of this car in Ireland.

These types of threads rarely benefit the seller, normally people pointing out faults with the car (and seller).

Your shill senses need fixing :pac:

OP is on boards 2 years and I seem to remember good posts from him. I too can't understand how a very cheap convertible hasn't sold yet (with the summer coming)

It's a 18 year old 2.3 litre convertible in a country which rains every 2nd day, the market for it is non existant.

Not the OP himself, favour for a friend. I don't know.

Nobody buys soft tops during the autumn/winter months especially when we have just been through one of the coldest winters on record. It is also 2.3 litre petrol which means it costs nearly as much to tax for a year as buy in this country. Sadly I can see a car like that being traded under the scrappage scheme for a brand new econobox.

Jesus Christ are most people on this forum a doubting thomas. I have no connection with that car. I tried to help a poster on a another thread and some poster comes along telling me I'm wrong when I'm right!

My "nobody bothered their arse reporting the suspected shill post, just complained on-thread" senses are tingling... :P:D

    TBH, I think it's fine.

I'd have my suspicions that that car is a swimmer, and that the 1 owner from new is 1 owner in Ireland on top of however many owners in the UK.
If that's true, I can see a lot of people walking away from the car instantly. Nobody likes being lied to, and it wouldn't engender trust in the seller.

I think the alloys look poxy and need to be changed. A set of the original alloys would probably increase the value of the car.

Also the first 5 photos don't tie in with the last two imho - the first 5 look like someone selling their own car, the last two look like the photos a guy with a yard full of cars would take.

Two different phone numbers, the seller's name is "audi" apparently, the ad says 139k miles while the description says 144k miles.

You'd have to go into that sale with your eyes wide open and your homework done.
