Season Finale bets!

Ok 2 months to go in the footie season and i fancy a bet or 2 that will keep me amused til the seasons end. Not having much joy with weekly bets so thinking of these for longer term interest. Same as Turbobaby's log but i wont be betting as much. Was thinking of the following

Bet 1
Barca 6/5 Champions League
Man U 8/15 Premiership
Porto 12/5 Europa
Man C 9/4 FA Cup
Works out at at 37/1

I expect Barca to beat Shakhtar and meet Madrid in the semi's which could go either way but its hard to look past Barca when there in full flow.
Man U should hang on for the premiership. 8 games left and they should easily win against West Ham, Fulham, Everton,Blackburn and Blackpool. 3 tricky games remain against Chelsea, Man C and Arsenal but 3 draws should be enough. Arsenal seem to have bottled it and Chelsea have too much ground to make up.
Porto are a machine at home this season and i expect them to beat Spartak in the next round. Tough game against Villareal then but they should squeeze thru for a possibe final against PSV or Braga
The FA cup is still wide open imo and im guessing it means more to City than UTD and Man U will probably take the semi less seriously then City. Stoke or Bolton await and surely City wouldnt throw that away.

Now people may think im mad going with Chelsea here but i believe they can beat Man U and the winners of Schalke and Inter. A possible final against Barca or Madrid awaits and with Chelsea slowly coming back to form i wouldnt rule them out against either team.
Despite Celtic losing today i still think there better than Rangers this season. It will be tight and its a toss of the coin really but hopefully Celtic hang on.
Berbatov leads Tevez by 2 with 8 games to go. Im relying on him featuring in most of the remaining games and another 4/5 goals should be enough to win the golden boot.
Messi and Ronaldo are level at the moment but with Ronaldo out for 3 weeks im hoping Messi plays 1/2 games more and edges ahead.

All opinion welcome. Will only throw 10 or 20 each bets.

Done them myself man but changed United to Fa cup instead of City and just about brought myself to back against us in the CL against Chelsea so I wont be as dissapointed if they knock us out

I know that and was aware only one bet could win. I was hoping for a Barca/Chelsea champions league final.

Hoping for a big Man City response this week against Man U. Looking the most doubtful part of my bet imo. Carvalho missing the Real 1st leg agianst Barca is a bonus

If it comes in i'll do another one for sure. Maybe a mix of different sports over the summer. Good way of having a long term interest. Robbed the idea from Turbobaby

Was thinking last week that Man U had the league wrapped up. Now im not so sure. A Chelsea win this week at Man U and my bet is in big trouble. Man U were 1/12 and are now 2/9 for the title :mad:

Well that was one boring match but Porto got the job done. 3 down 1 to go.

Need advice now lads. Do i let the bet roll or do i throw a decent wedge on Man U at 7/4? Was thinking 100. Then i could watch the match knowing if Barca win i win approx 300(minus the 100 i put on Man U) and if Man U win i'd return 175 on my 100 bet at 7/4.

Anyone advise me on the best route to take?

I'd let it ride man. Unless €150 means a lot to you? You could Dutch your bet, by putting money on United to lift the cup and that way you'd win the same amount of money whether Barca or United win. Use this calculator to decide how much to put on it.

Cheers...i know its not a huge amount of money but i just think it makes sense to sit there watching the matching knowing i've won at least 175 if Man U win the cup or around 300 if Barca win the cup.

It definitely does, but if I stood to win a few hundred quid if Barca won the CL, I'd be very confident of that coming in. Let us know what you decide anyway man, nice position to be in.

I'd leave it go. You've got plenty of value for money so far. If it loses you've still got entertainment from ur bet...

Ok i've come up with a solution and this what i've gone for. Got a mate to open a new PP account and he put €50 on Man U at 6/4 which returns €125. New customers get a free matched bet so another €50 on Man U at 6/4 which only returns €75 as they dont give you the "free" €50.

So as it stands if Barca lift the cup i'll be paid €372.75(€312.75 profit) and if Man U lift the cup i will be paid €200(€150 profit)

Hope that makes sense and im still rooting for Barca

When you open the new account and make your 1st bet which in this case will be 50 on UTD, will they not wait till that bet is settled before giving you your sign up bonus of €50 free bet?
