    Hi all there, I have had a classic Army sportline Hk416 compact version for 2 months and before that my brother had it for 7 months so its out of a warrenty. s basickly the gun wont fire anymore for no reason that I know? I was playin with it in my back garden and it started makin funny noises so i taught that there was a jam so i held the trigger down but the noise got worse. i did nothin to the guns insides but i just got a new battery that was a bit higher than the one one that came with the gun its called a lipo and i think it was like 11v or something and the gun was firing really fast for 4 or 5 mags and then it stopped maybe becose it was firing so fast it jammed? Thax for your help people just want to know if i can unjam it

    Does it make a screeching noise at all?
    In short, that lovely lipo of yours, destroyed your gun and the cheap BB's probably helped that too, bye bye hop-up and barrel...

    If you plugged an 11.1v LiPo battery into a CA sportsline AEG, odds are that you have utterly minced the gearbox. That means replacement gearbox parts and either upgrading the gearbox so it can take an 11.1v battery, or not using an 11.1v battery and instead taking your pick from one of the following battery types;
    • 8.4v NiMH battery
    • 8.4v - mini NiMH battery
    • 7.2v LiPo battery

    Out of interest, where did you buy your battery? Did they not ask you about your AEG regarding using an 11.1v battery?

    As for the Bbs, see Lefty's comment about your hop-up & barrel.

    Lipo gives of more power making the gun work very fast, definately something wrong with the gears. but you'll be lucky if its only a jam.

    hey man,

    i think that battery could be your problem. theres another topic here that has mentioned this. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056213788

    with the increase in power from an 11v LIPO battery, it puts must more strain on the components in the gear box.

    its unlikely a bb stuck as the gun should still turnover when you pull the trigger. Although i personally wouldnt recommend any orange bb's(if they're cheap, they're probably cheap fr a reason!)
    if it made a grinding sound and got worse as you pulled the trigger more, its probably the piston or gears.

    getting someone who is familiar with opening an aeg will really answer your question!

    yeah it dos kinda screech but it rattles too like a metal rattleing and i got the battery on the internet when i pull the trigger nothin comes out so is it just a jam? and the bbs is it only the yellow ones that are bad for ya cos there were green ones too but they were 3 euro and do ye really think its that bad cos my brother had it with a big blue battery and this one is the same size and do ye thik that dirty bbs could cause it either cos not all of em were clean cos the bottle fell o the ground just before this happened

    My complete honest opinion is: you plugged in a lipo, cheap bbs jammed, you kept the trigger pressed, gearbox kept cycling but didn't clear bbs, you stripped the piston or a gear.

    Most airsoft retailers have them instock. As for are they hard to fit? Do you know what you're doing with the gun? Do you have the right tools? Are you comfortable taking apart the AEG and gearbox and putting it back together? If you don't know what you're doing - you can do more harm than good, you'd be better bringing it to a tech in any of the retailers or someone who know's what they're doing.

    Do yourself a favour and take it to an airsoft shop or find someone within reach who knows what they're doing.
