Hello everyone. Myself and about 20 friends have an Airsft club down here in Longford. We play on on a site just outside Longford town which i own. The site is already set up. It consists of 10 acres of forestry, thick and thin. 5 acres of overgrown bogland, around 5 acres of open fields and a new CQB site I recently built. It has a number of towers towers, a treehouse, a cabin, a shed/changing room and a number of other pallets and shields set up. It also has a huge amount of cut down trees in the formation of a maze. The forest is also set up with different obstichles through out. The site has trenches running throughout it and it connects the CQB area to the forest. This is all done without any funds and i can only imagine how good it can become. The site is situated just outside Longford town and its only 5 minutes from Longford train station. This site has the potential to be one of the best in Ireland if not the best, so i am just wondering if you would like a site like this down here in the midlands. Please get back to me on this.

I am looking to have this site fully up and running in 1 year with insurance and all the legal issues sorted as i am only 17 and cant get insurance until i am 18.

I would also consider renting the land to someone who has experience running a succesfull site for 1 year and we will be able to get it up and running even sooner.....

Thanks

I could certainly upload photos at some stage but i will need to get my hands on a better camera other than my mobile which i normally use. Not to sure on prices just yet but you can expect the same as any other site, A little cheaper

Oh god no, You could not open a site like this to the public without insurance. As of now i dont have insurance yet. Wont be able to get it for another year until i am 18, when i am properly setting it up. I am just wondering if there would be many people interested in a site like this down here in the midlands before i go spending thousands setting it up. I am also open to renting the land to an experience site owner for a year to get it up and running even sooner.

There are no guarantees in life but the bottom line is that if the site is good enough i.e. is big enough, has good variation in terrain, is playable year round, is well run with a good variety of scenarios AND is proper marshalled, then it will be supported by the airsoft community.

MAC is well supported by its members & invited guests because of how it is run & the storylines they run.
Predator is a LONG drive from Dublin but many of us make the journey because it offers excellent terrain and it's always great craic.
Red Barn is always well supported because no two days are the same, the site offers great variety and the marshals take no cr@p from anyone!
I'm not saying other sites don't have the same qualitiesbut I can only offer opinion on my own experiences

Build it and they will come

The site itself is very good and once i get the money i will not stop building it until it is the best in Ireland. Trust me

What i need is some good strict marshalls which i am willing to employ. There will be no expences spared and possible someone to run it for the first year or until i am 18 where i will then take over but will still take on a certain amount of people.

Any takers or is there many people interested in traveling down to a site like this when it is set up. I will get pics up of the site the next time we have a few lads out.
