Is there any information available anywhere on the current power of the DTT signals from Truskmore and Cairn Hill?

In the public domain, no. We probably won't know until after ASO when everything has been finalised, late 2012 early 2013.

    Another question:

I am guessing that my RTE DTT signal is hovering around the treshold for satisfactory reception because at certain times of the day the picture is freezing and breaking up whereas at other times it is perfectly watchable.

So, my question is, would fitting a 23dB (say) masthead amplifier rather than the current 16dB amplifier make any difference?

Amplifiers are to pre-boost to allow for loss in the cable. You probably need a better Aerial.

More amplifier will amplify noise and interference.

Too much amplifier is easily overloaded.
