the brother was talking about upgrading from an eight unit parlour to a fourteen at the end of this year and as such would not only put in ACR,s but also more modern feeders , he has orby semi automatic feeders which are exactly ten years old , anyone got an idea what theese feeders might be worth , they are in PWO and are button push , you can indivdually aswell as batch feed

we have the cashman ones like that , you push a button to feed and can feed the whole row also , no idea what they are worth ,have an air compressor in to make them work , we also use this for pumping tyres and greasing machinery, but after having the orby feeder they are a god send.... knocked my self out one morning when the handle came down on my head while feeding with the orby ones:eek:

ah , the old manual - cable pull orby feeders , many a man nearly cracked a rib tugging on those yokes

brother is talking about putting in the computerised feeders in place of the orby semi automatic

I don't think they would be worth much as most guys are putting in either fully automated feeders or the pig feeders.

theese feeders are vastly superior to pig feeders , you cant individually feed with pig feeders

I wouldn't say vastly superior to pig feeders, most new parlours are bigger and the low cost, grass men are putting pig feeders in (if any) or feeding out side the parlour, they feed small amounts and don't feed to yield, on the other hand guy's feeding more meal are going the fully automated systems in alot of new parlours, all i'm saying is they won't be beating down the door for them.
