Which would it be? I'd go for Antrim meself, nice coast line and what have you. It would be interesting because its surrounded by counties which would still be part of Norn Iron

Which county would you get back from Norn Iron 216 votes

    Norn Iron?

Fermanagh would be the most obvious. It's the one most bordered by Ireland, isn't bordered by lough Neigh and the furterest from Antreim the most heavily protestant majority county.
    Norn Iron?
Norn Iron is Northern Ireland in a northern irish accent.

If we give them Mayo, can we take two?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

For strategic reasons I'd go for Aontroim.

I also would be in favour of transferring Cork into the UK as a part exchange deal.

Which one is Belfast in? I'd take that country too as it'd be nice to finally have two cities in this country.

Take Tyrone for the love of god.

It has the nasty habit of being in two counties so no luck for you

Antrim for their hurling pedigree, the rest still have to prove themselves worthy!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,277 ✭✭✭poisonated

I felt bad for Armagh so I gave it a vote. Yeah Belfast is in 2 counties, that is mad!

Take Derry and rename it Londonderry when it's officially a part of the republic. Just to confuse the shíte out of everyone.

Yeah, except 6 of them don't have to pay the social universal charge and have a better health service . I'm sure thay are so jealous of those 2 examples alone that the majority of people there would jump at the chance to join us.

That's not even funny and your English fails.

I'd take Derry back since it was mostly ours in the first place (by our I mean part of Donegal) and is probably the biggest earner county with the smaller population.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 170 ✭✭scoobymunster

Sure Derrys nicely divided. The Catholic mainly live on the Donegal side of the Foyle, the prod's live on the other side. Split that dump in two! I'm in agreement with ditching Cork, could never understand those boyos!

I'd take Tyrone for the simple fact that everyone I've met from there has been especially sound. Almost TOO sound if that's possible....but I've found that with most Northerners anyway....

ROFL at Mr Tallaghtman lol'ing because people like this hate this.
Is the green hue from withdrawl symptoms or envy? :D

I'm from Fermanagh and I'd say our county is the one that would require the least work to make it happen. Culturally, it's tricky to even know where the border is.

Which ever county had a majority of people wanting to return to the republic.

    return?

since when were they part of the republic?

They probably shouldn't have used the term 'republic' but it can be assumed what they meant.

Pardon me I shouldnt have used the term republic. Which ever county has a majority in favour of returning to irish rule.

I'd be all for Fermanagh, enjoy Cork.

Swap them Leitrim for Armagh and take Fermanagh off them while we're at it.

how about we make a deal, they give us back ulster and we agree that our capital city will mimic a british city. And the residents will speak like the queen and use british slang and turn it's nose to the rest of the islands citizens. ;)
