Rear light cuts out when I brake

I was told by another motorist that when I press the brake, my drivers side back light stops working. The light on the passenger side remains on ok and the left brake light comes on but nothing on the right.

Can anyone advise what might be causing this?

    Many thanks as always

Sounds like an earthing problem..Check all connections on the rear lights especially earth connections.

    What car is it?

    Ah,
    100% certain an earth problem.

Check and clean any earth connection you can find around the back lights
Pull off and plugs a few times to try clean any bad contacts.
