As above, could anyone give me a very rough estimate how much this should cost?

    What type of car?

And why would you need a tyre and brake pads for just one corner??

Brake pads should not be fitted to one corner only, they come in a pack of four, two for each front or rear wheel :)

Price depends on make and model.

You KNOW what car it is! Rover 25. Pad and tyre completely worn down on driver side, the tracking needs doing apparently. So I just got the v bad one done, and will get the rest done next week. Cost me €150 for one corner. Is it going to cost €450 + tracking cost for the other three? I'm sort of hoping I was massively over-charged!

Thats very steep. And as has been said you should never change the pads on just one side. You cant even buy 2 pads on their own, they come in a box of 4.

How do we know what car it is before you tell us? We can't remember every users car from memory. You'd want to be half retarded as a mechanic to fit pads to one wheel only. Very unusual for them to wear unevenly too, if they did there may well be a problem with the caliper on the otherside.

My apologies. You have had a few lols at my expense with my car problems, and I mistakenly thought you may have remembered it is a Rover, as you seem quite keen on them.

Not to worry, I'll ring around and get some prices.

    +1
OP if your mechanic ever suggests to just replace the pads on one side....get a new mechanic.

Tracking would wear both tyres at same time and never heard of it affecting brake pads??

Take advice from above and change mechanic, but make sure you get the other 2 pads first!;)

The wheel alignment can effect one tyre only, depending on how it is off.

It will have nothing whatsoever to do with the pads wearing on one side more then the other. This will be due to a problem with the braking system, sticking caliper etc. Pads are never replaced on one side only and if they wear unevenly shouldn't be just replaced with finding the reason for the excess wear.
