Tyre Pressure

Decided to try out the free Bridgestone tyre guage I got the other day. Very happy with it.

Just as well, the tyre pressure hasn't been checked in ages(just the visual checks), every tyre was slightly different. The airhose gauge worked and was reading almost the same as My "free" guage.

VW recommends 1.9 bar or 27 psi for 2 people and a suitecase on each tyre. The tyres were roughly around 33 psi before inflating and most cars seem to be in the 30's incl mine for bigger tyres.

The max is 44 psi and they are at about 3.2 bar or 36 psi now. I think 27 psi is a bit too low for me and I wouldn't like to sacrifice fuel economy and wear for the lower pressure for the sake of a rougher ride. Bad idea?

    Any opinions would be appreciated;)
