just need a little advice on a situation

i came out of a very bad and very long relationship just before xmas. i wont go into the details as its not pertinent to my questions.

the "problem" (hardly a problem compared to some people's but still causing me confusion) is that ive recently met someone. we're very much on the same wavelength in our interests, work ethic etc. we get on like a house on fire and she is the polar opposite of the ex.

im not being stupid about it and outwardly trying to keep things fun and light at the moment. i realise that i should probably be taking time out from all this women lark but im also not stupid enough to pass on someone special just because its the done thing to be single for a while. i do believe that no matter what happens i'd rather just take a chance than do nothing.

whats confusing me is how the hell do i stay cool in my head when im so very attracted to her? im batting WAY out of my league as it is and just looking at her causes internal melt!

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Just relax and enjoy yourself. I know you probably feel like you shouldn't be starting to see someone so soon out of a long term relationship, but if you like this person then continue to see her and take things slowly.

It sounds like you're getting on well together so just let yourself enjoy it. To be fair, if you were on this saying that you'd met someone and still couldn't stop thinking about your ex, that would be a problem!!! Don't feel like you HAVE to be single. As long as you're over your ex, you've nothing to worry about.

You're probably just feeling a little out of your depth. If it's just "fun and light at the moment" then take it as that, it may progress and if it doesn't then at least you didn't pass up an opportunity. Just have fun getting to know someone new.
