No its not a mistake. You can play all 10 courses in Co.Clare in a 4 person team competition for €100 per person. Courses include Doonbeg, Shannon, East Clare, Lahinch (not the main course), Dromoland. Its run by Clare Tourist Board and they are accepting entries on line now. You must a GUI handicap and play between 1st April and 30th September. Your teams 4 best scores from the 10 courses are you score in the competition. The remaining courses are Kilrush, Kilkee, Spanish Point, Woodstock and Ennis.

    Brilliant deal.

Can anyone from the area recommend the good and the bad, as thinking of trying 2 weekends and getting 3 rounds each time, so playing 6 courses, presumably Doonbeg, Dromoland & Lahinch would be 3 definates, but what other ones are good.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Dromoland is up there with Adare Manor in my book. Lovely course, Shannon is also beautiful. Lahinch Castle course is nice but short(par66) from what I remember. Fond memories of it having won my first competition down there. Ennis is a nice course and Woodstock is too. Enjoyable but nothing spectacular unlike Dromoland. East Clare is an ok course, can get very wet. My only experience playing it was 1 month ago. Greens were in terrible shape. Battered and hairy. I've never played Kilkee, Kilrush, Spanish Point or Doonbeg so hopefully someone else can help you there. Obviously great value and if you get decent weather for it then Dromoland and Shannon are worth the €100 on their own.

Shannon is a must play. While East Clare tends to be wet in winter it is still a tough course and worth playing.

Kilrush, Kilkee, Spanish Point and Ennis are all good solid courses. I would rate Woodstock slightly ahead of these 4.

Check the finer detail of the offer to make sure you can play at weekends?
