    This is the simple equation i have been trying to explain to people for most of my adult life.
    If abortion was legal and benefits werent so good for mothers,we would have a more sensible ,mature society.
    But sadly im sure the poopulation of scumbags will increase again this year.

    He is correct on abortion.
    There is a direct correlation between abortion being legalised and crime significantly decreasing 15 - 20 years later.

    Don't agree about benefits though. If people were poorer, they would turn to crime more in order to survive.

    I suspect that the OP is referring to research in Freakonomics that linked falling crime rates in the US to the legalisation of abortion.

    You are condoning murder of the unborn there. By cutting benefits maybe it would deter people from getting accidentally pregnant.

    People don't commit crime to survive - the usually commit crimes to pay for drugs. Recreational drugs aren't really needed for survival.

    I agree. You have the option to get the morning after pill. €40 the next day for the pill is going to save a lot of more expense on the mother, dad and state. Some people have abortions for the sake of it; they take advantage of it.
