If you can; bury some of it to make it look shorter. I'd reckon a 60-80 degree angle so it can be climbed on the outside easy but is very hard to get out of.

Sardines or some lads I know use mackerel
Coat the pipe only from ~1/2 way down to the bottom.

He won't go in unless he thinks he can get out.

Neighbour of mine caught several that way.

    Best of luck
    Trapping aint easy!!

The neighbours leave a ft or 9 inches above ground and about teh same below ground.

However; that was only because they had a few off cuts left after putting in sheds.

The maggers are making a laugh at me, If only I had an Air Rifle :D 0r a .22 with subs and a mod

I've killed several mink with the shotgun on the shannon.
But a good sharp spike is what you want for a wavin pipe job;) Or a crow bar:eek:.

I have something robbing sauceages and eggs out of my Larsen and yet door still open.:confused:

I'd prefer a trap like the rat trap where easy go in, impossible go out.

So best of luck with the trap, I appreciate how hard it can be to trap.

Yet a mate of mine gets 3-5 magpies a day in his traps!!

its probaly a next door neighbour wondering who keeps leaving food out for him:D

il bring a tooth of a buckrake with me when checking it so.i seen a few mink and hope to catch them cos the hill to go down to check it has to be the steepest around and it gets worse coming back up
