Living abroad, dental procedure here or at home?

Right so I find myself in the US, have been here for 2 years now and I'm working. I've had a variety of dental procedures done here and I've found the dentist to be grand but expensive. I will probably be going home in the next 3-4 months.

My questions is should I get my wisdom teeth done here or at home. Bearing in mind that here I have both Dental and Health Insurance through my company (neither of which I will have at home). I think it would work out cheaper here but I've heard bad things, especially because the American's seem to love removing wisdom teeth regardless of the severity of the issue (I don't want to end up with nerve damage).

All of mine are supposedly impacted (they're all coming in pointing towards the front of my face), two of them have erupted and I've been advised that I need them all removed.

are they causing you pain, or are they causing any damage to the adjacent teeth? if the answer to both is no, then i'd be inclined to leave them be.

Nope no pain although I occasionally feel pressure (but that could be in my head - no pun intended). Have never seen a dentist at home about them so only have the impression of dentists from over here where having them removed them seems to be a right of passage, that being said a few older relatives are having them removed now so might be better getting them done than 10 years down the road.

If they cause you no problems then leave them alone, seriously. The yanks consider the existence of wisdom teeth a scourge and take them all out.
