Desire Lens Cover

    Having problems with the crappy quality of photos my Desire is taking. Had a look at the lens cover and it's very dirty, can't seem to clean it properly.

    Here is a photo I took with back cover of the phone on:

    And then when I took the cover off:

    Have tried cleaning the lens cover but it doesn't help. Not sure if it's just smudged or actually damaged. Has anybody else had this problem? Can I buy a new back cover for the phone?

    I have actually taken mine off months ago and just wipe it with a lint free cloth and a tiny bit of toothpaste every now and then and it takes a decent snap now.

    Yeah, some form of polish or CD repair cream stuff works well. New genuine covers were around €25 last time I looked.

    wow thats a hell of an improvement with no cover on :S
    maybe ill just cellotape my battery in place and use no back cover :D
