Help!! Repressurising Firebird Heatpac 70-90 oil boiler

    Can anybody tell me how i can repressurise my heating system (Firebird Heatpac 70-90 oil boiler)

    Firstly, why do you need to refill it in the first place?

    Do you know where you're filling loop is? Its usually in the hot press.

    #there is 0 pressure in the system and the filling loop isnt in the hot press :-(

    Where are you reading the pressure from? Could be the filling loop? Post us a pic.

    bottom left of your second picture is a silver coloured service valve, get a flat bladed screwdriver and turn the slot in the middle of the valve, you will hear water rushing in, let it raise the pressure to 1.5 bar and close.

    the large red vessel is your expansion vessel, air filled but when they fail they fill with water and become very heavy, i may be wrong as i can't see it all but is it supported properly?

    Looks like there's a flimsy enough strap holding it. Not that it'll hold much I'd imagine.

    nah it's an nrv billy nicked off a filling loop which is in itself wierd
