Hong Kong Airport

I'm leaving Seoul in a few days, heading back to Cork. My flight goes Seoul->HK->London->Cork.

I have 1 hr between arriving in Hong Kong and departing for London. I'm flying with British Airways all the way so I can check my bags in at Seoul and just have them follow me.

Assuming there's no delays, do you think this will be enough time to get to my gate? If I miss it, what's the policy with jumping on the next flight(s) etc?

This is the first time I've gone on such a big journey on the same airline so I'm wondering if anybody can help me out.

    Thanks.

I'm surprised BA sold you a flight with such a short connection in HK, I think it will be quite tricky to make the next flight - when you check in mention the short turn-around and ask to be seated near the front, they will likely have someone meet you off the plane and rush you to the next flight - however it's BA's responsibility and they will put you on the next flight available and be liable for hotel expenses if the flight isn't until the next day.

See here for details on transfers in HK it seems highly unlikely you'll make the connection as you've to go through security again

You won't be flying Seoul to Hong Kong on BA, for a start. I'd imagine it's with Cathay, and BA just codeshare - you should check that out, as who ever is flying is who you need to check in with.

If it's all on the one ticket, your bags will be checked through to Cork, however, and Cathay should be able issue your boarding passes for the flights that follow.

1 hour is tight, but doable. If your inbound flight is late, and you miss the onward flight, if you're on the one ticket the airline will rebook you on to the next/alternative flight.
