I've got a ball tomorrow night and I'd like to tie my hair up in a ponytail. The only thing is my hair at the side of my head gets really curly, and it doesn't tie back. I could wet it, but it would end up extremely greasy, and I hate applying gel as it just doesn't last the night. Can anyone recommend me a hair product such as an oil that'll help me keep my hair in check without it looking too greasy and will last the night.

    Cheers in advance :D

    Also I'm a guy :P

you'll need hairspray. its the only thing that won't look greasy. l'oreal hairspray is brillant.

Wash your hair as usual and run a tiny amount of serum through it when it is damp/towel dry. I would recommend Umberto Giannini Seriously Straight Gloss Serum. Any straightening serum should do the job though. Again, I stress a tiny bit. Too much will make your hair look greasy.
Also, try to blow-dry your hair, it won't curl so much.
Hairspray is a good idea but don't use too much or it will look crispy/dry.
    Best of luck :)
