Trapster - Who Is Using It?

    Hi Folks,

I've had Trapster on the iPhone for a few months but its rather depressing to be only one of a handful of Irish users. You can tell other users by roads being blue i.e. Driven on by a Trapster user. It really is a great tool but its useless without a community behind it.

Anyone else using it regularly? i.e. Running during a journey, not just checking on and off?

    ironclaw.

I have it and think it has great potential, but find myself not using it too much at all as I just assume that nobody else really uses it and the chances of it being updated in the time there actually is a trap active at too low. I also feel it would work much better on a system whereby mobile traps expire (after say 2 hours) and don't show up at all unless they are reported to be still active, which would then extend the expiry time by another 2 hours. If I knew there was a big following, I'd definitely use it more often, but a lot of the reported areas I've seen on it are weeks old which leads me to believe it's not really used much.

I stopped using it as it was raping the battery life.

agree, the nearest alert to me was a speed camera 18 months ago.
I didn't play with it too much, but is there an interface were you can have it in a cradle and if you pass a trap you can just hit one button and its location is uploaded? I didn't think there was.
I got rid of my iphone, not sure if its on android.

It's on android alright, that's what I use it on. I haven't explored the program too much as any time I've ever thought of loading it up, I've always been driving ;)
