Photography shop said they might be able to fix but will cost €60 to €100 - eeek!

Scan + Clone stamp tool. Then print it again.

    Cloning may help here.

Download a free program called GIMP (don't let the name put you off). It's free and similar to Photoshop.

Learn how to use the 'Clone' tool. There's a wikipedia page on it. Google some GIMP help guides on cloning.

How much scribbling? It probably can be repaired but depending on how much ink there is could be very time consuming.

You won't get much help in AH tough...

    Kill him.

It'll save you a fortune in the long run.

Don't worry about it. A Hitler moustache drawn on dear old granny will always get a few laughs.

best way to get ink off photos is to use fire.

Try the photography section. You can copy it & undo the damage but I'm not sure how much it will cost.

As does a granny moustache on a Hitler photo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,789 ✭✭✭✭ScumLord

Eeerm, thanks for all the helpful hints. I'm not sure about killing him - but I have threatened to put him up on ebay. Tisn't a moustache on Granny - tis a lovely pic of His Lordship graduating from his playschool and the little fecker angel has inked out his eyes, nose and mouth and written "Jackie Chan" on the photo.

Fraid I'm a techno peasant and don't know how to post pics. Anyway, I'm not putting it up here.

Now gonna PM Forest Green and visit the photography board....

That'll be tough, with the eyes and nose covered there's nothing to clone. Was it a pro photographer? Might be worth a call to see if there is an archived digital copy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,661 ✭✭✭Alice1

It wasn't a professional photographer. I rang the playschool to see if they had a copy on disc but they are not sure. Checking and will call me back - didn't sound too hopeful.

I was sort of hoping I could copy and paste his face from another pic or something like that. Don't really want to use meths cos I'd say it would wipe all the picture off.

I'd like to apologise for the negativity shown here by certain individuals -they know who they are. Some people just can't see the big picture and think nothing of zooming in just to take the piss, or blast it, or whatever.

I knew I was taking my life my hands posting about this on AH :) but at least it gets a lot of traffic.
