DO NOT get the body shop mineral make up it is so awful i cant believe there allowed to sell it! I got it and I would have been better off just wearing no make up it make my skin look really awful! I use glo minerals sometimes but its so pricey at €50. am on the look out for a cheaper one that does the same job!

Has anyone tried Bare Minerals? They have a starter kit I think, I'm quite tempted but I'd appreciate a review before splashing out!

My sister and I both use bare minerals.

She gets lovely coverage out of it and it photographs beautifully on her. It looks very natural too.

I'm the opposite. I have fairly bad acne around my chin and it doesn't provide the coverage I need. It would be fine for day to day wear but not heavy enough for going out. That could just be me though, foundations NEVER suit me at all :(

Love Bare Minerals ... the starter kit is great and comes with all the brshes you'll need, as well as blusher that'll last you a year!

I'd love to try the bare minerals, but budget doesn't stretch that far just yet:D I've been using the no7 mineral powder foundation for a year or so and have found it very good, I'd started getting very red irritated patches on my cheeks from wearing normal foundations, but since using the mineral stuff - big improvement. it lasts for ages as well.

No.7 one is amazing and prestige. Mineral make up is fab particularly if you have oily skin so I`ve been converted. I don`t know how but even if you sleep with it on it seems good for your skin you wake up with nice skin?!

I used various mineral make ups for approx 2 years. Products used were Bare Minerals ID, Smashbox Halo, Philosophy Air Brushed Canvas, Estee Lauder Minerals. So as you can probably guess was not really happy with products and was searching for best within the range so to speak.

What I found was that my overall favourites were Estee Lauder and Philosophy... My skin is dry and mineral makeup although suited my sensitive skin made my skin look parched and did not reflect light in flattering way, also settles in those pesky little life/laughter lines we (will) all get, ie looked aging :o

If you have young skin, that is line free and want to simply even your skin tone go for it. If applied with the right concealer brushes it can effectively cover blemishes too. Bare Mineral brushes are fab, and I still use mine to this day.

Final note, avoid the cheapies that are bulked with talc, and contain bismuth oxy (totally bad spelling sorry) as a preservative, these two additives can cause skin breakouts so your skin could end up very unhappy indeed.

I have since switched back to liquid foundtion which I love but thats just me...:)

I got Bare Minerals foundation applied for me in Debenhams on Henry Street. While the assistant was lovely, I just didn't like the effect of the foundation when I walked into daylight outside.

I would really recommend ELF mineral foundation. It evens out my skintone and makes me look like I'm wearing no makeup.
