Are the spawn of the devil. You would be better sticking a coax cable up your hole and your micky out the window. I wish I seen this forum before I bought one. Its going back tomorrow. Bloody typical. I buy the dearest one in the shop on the advice of a nodding flute in the shop. You wont have any problems with that one. Yea if I was looking for the poltergeist experience.

This Aeriel could not pick up a two euro gummy oul one hooker in a whore house. It even works better when you turn off the boost. Boost me hole.

Just saying. Be warned again people

Yeah they're not great alright. Have to give credit for one of the best quotes I ever read here.....

It's not the size of your aerial, it's the gain?????????

Sorry for the rude rant :o

Returned the one for all and all for one this morning and just checked cheepo external replacement (in attic) and it worked great. My days of doing black swan around the sitting room where over trying to get a signal. By the way I was told in the hardware shop that I was wasting my money on the external one as I needed one of the new HD Aeriel's

By the way. If I was to buy a freesat box could I attach it to a sky dish that is on the wall outside. It looks in good condition. I Don't fancy venturing up to the chimney and it is already wired into sitting room.

    Aaaaarrrrghhhhhh. More scammy retailers.....

    2. If the dish is correctly aligned, you should just be able to hook it up and run a scan using whatever UK postcode suits you once you have the fresat box. Most folks just use Belfast (BT11AA) so they get the NI regional variations of BBC ITV etc. but you can use whatever UK postcode suits you best.

I take it this is the indoor one with a loop and 2 rods (they do outdoor ones as well). That is about as bad an indoor aerial as you can get.
You've learnt that indoor aerials don't usually work. It would be wonderful if they did as then people would not have to spend all that money having aerials put on the roof and broadcasters would be able to have aerials on the studio floor instead of those great big ugly masts out in the country.
Sadly you can't change the laws of physics.

If I owned Power City I would take those pieces of 'all in one' sh1te off the shelf immediately, they are completely useless. It's really difficult to figure out why they still sell them, surely they know that everyone who buys one of them turns into a pissed-off customer and probably won't come back to buy the 42" TV because they are selling such junk?

Not saying that Power City is where the OP bought his aerial but they still sell them and they must know that they don't work, especially the ones that claim to pickup VHF TV which hasn't been broadcast around Dublin for years.
