Should the now defeated and downsized FF be allowed to occupy the fifth floor at leinster house.

Fantastic that in our "new era of politics" there is still petty squabbling about a room with a view in Leinster House, what gives FF any entitlement what so ever to specific areas of a state owner building?

Who is actually responsible for the allocation of office space in Leinster House?

I know the OPW look after the upkeep of the place, but who decides how the place is run on a day to day basis?

At the House of Commons in Westminster the task is undertaken by the Sergeant at Arms. Her say is final. Political parties do have traditional offices there but they don't have any rights to claim them as their own.

As FF are in denial that they were defeated in the election, I would not have been surprised.

Look at Dick Roche and John O Donohues disbelief when they were booted out , with recounts and and oration in Kerry worthy of dev himself

Psycological Warfare it has to be. Pump Jungle Music into the 5th Floor corridors for the next month to get the Failures out.

Having said that, I wouldn't let them Fine Gaeler's up to the 5th floor, they'd wreck the place (if pulling the dail bar doors off it's hinges is anything to go by [HERE] ). Keep them in the basement I say, they'll do less harm to themselves than they would if they get up into the sunlight.

Plazaman - they have agreed to vacate ( according to newspaper reports today )

They are taking down the portraits of Ivor Callely, Ray Burke, Liam Lawlor, C j haughey , and the flynns , and moving out

Are you for real? Are you saying that it was just FG responsible for the doors being damaged?
The bar was jammed by all sides but hey, let forget about that just to be biased, gain a poor opportunity to bash FG and blame them for it!

I would say they are having some job removing all the empty brown envelopes from the fifth floor now that the reality that the election is lost has caught up to their arrogance , and FF have agreed to move
