Digital Satellite (Astra 2d) and Saorview DTT through single coaxial cable

I'm still learning about all this technology so forgive me if this is a stupid question.

My mother's home is relatively new and was wired for terrestrial tv in every room about 10 years ago. There are two televisions in the house. A small one in the kitchen and a 32" Full HD TV in the sitting room. The sitting room is the only room in the house which has a double coaxial cable wall plate.

About a year ago I heard about FTA Astra 2D so I bought a cheap Fortec Star kit in Maplin which was basically a dish, some cable and a crappy stb. It was a great step up from the 4 blurry Irish channels we had. I wired directly to the second unused coaxial cable in the sitting room. The kitchen is still just the old non-DTT 4 channels.

Now I'm planning on getting a combined DVB-T and Sat stb (most likely a Dreambox 800 HD with a DVB-T USB after my research in the last few days) for the sitting room.

I'll then move the fortec star box to the kitchen. As far as I know, I'll now need to get a dual lnb for my dish, is this correct? Unfortunately the kitchen only has a single coaxial cable wall plate. Is it possible to send both the DTT and sat signals down the one cable or will this cause interference? I've read a bit about diplexers, are they what I need and how do they work? How do you recommend I set up this system?

Would I be best to connect up all the the rooms while I'm at it (That would be 6 rooms in total)? That way the sat/dtt box can be moved to any room and still work. If its not too much more expensive/time consuming I will. What equipment do you recommend?

You can combine and decombine them across one cable ...say an RG6 from the attic to a Viewing point. Search the forum for words like combiner or diplexer, been discussed many times.

I'm assuming I'd have to have these for each seperate tv point in the house? Or is there an easier combined option for use in the attic (along with those wallplates in each room)? Something that would for example take 4 sat cables from a quad lnb and one from DTT as input and then output to 4 seperate coaxial cables. 5 in (4sat, 1DTT) and 4 out.

Is this the kind of thing I'm looking for? Would the UHF DTT signal degrade from being split so much or does that matter? Should I get a booster version of this if it exists in that case?

There is a wallplate, check frequency ranges passed match and that the satellite power pass function works.

Cheaper to use 2no of the combiners as opposed to the combiner and wall plate.
