I know dude... but that's reallly pushing it then... Atm I'm planning for thursday, but we'll see, if people reckon they're available the weekend over thursday, and can guarantee me they'll do it, I'd move it.

Changed the day of recording in the hopes others can show up. Seriously guys, I really am stuck for props and people and would appreciate anyone who'd like to get involved :D

Have you cleared this with the gardai and limerick corporation or the city council ?

I know I said I would, but the more I thought about it, the more didn't see the need too. It's in an off-road location, not on private property. I've notified residents in the area, and I'll have people on the day there to let anyone in the area know what's going on, you won't be firing anything, and so long as anyone passing through the area knows what the situation is, I don't feel a need to notify gardaí.

Is this essentially public property? I suggest you read the Firearms Act 1990 as amended by the Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 before undertaking this project.

Quote from section 40 of above act:
9A.—(1) Where a person, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse (the onus of proving which shall lie on him or her), has a realistic imitation firearm with him or her in any public place, that person shall be guilty of an offence.

    (2) A person guilty of an offence under this section shall be liable:
    (i) on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding e5,000 or to imprisonment
for a term not exceeding twelve months or to both,
    or
(ii) on conviction on indictment, to a fine or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to both.

    (3) In this section “public place” includes any highway and any other premises or place to which at the material time the public have or are permitted to have access, whether on payment or otherwise, and includes any club premises and any train, vessel or vehicle used for the carriage of persons
    for reward.

So the very first thing you should do is contact an Garda Síochána and follow their direction. To do otherwise is extremely foolish.

Cheers for that, will see what needs to be done. Atm, I'm completely stuck without props, so there's no point in getting in contact with them until I know if I'm pushing ahead with this or not.

Have you thought about, asking a site can you film there, like L.A.C, also you would probably get a better reaction from people after you inform the Gardai.
