Up to 3 months waiting time for the benifits package, massive backlog with the social wellfare at the moment, and the usual "we are understaffed" excuses every day.

If you keep a copy of the application form you have sent in and also have a letter to say you are on disablity, then you can show that to the TV licence inspector or post it to them and that would keep them off your back.

Bryano questions of that nature do not need to be asked on this forum. This question does not have any relevance to the OPs question.

Bryano11 not impressed by your question, however for your information I have Bipolar. How that is relevant I do not know. It is unnessary to be asking people that question when its none of anybodies business!

By the way cee_jay, paddy147 thank you.

    Hi daisy
Hope you dont mind me asking, was it disability allowance and did you get it first time, or was it appealed?

I applied for it nearly a year ago and it took a long time for it to be processed, I didnt have to appeal at all, I had alot of paperwork though that had to be filled out by HSE. After that It was a full year. It was disability allowance. I think to be honest if its a long term illness they do ask for alot of information that I had post off regularly during the year. Hope this helpful
