They aren't for sale in Ireland although you do occasionally some on the roads.

I just gave it a quick google and it appears there are a few examples for sale in ireland.

most service parts will be shared with other cars in the Hyundai range and are readily available through most motor factors, and any Hyundai dealer should be able to get you any more specialist parts with 3-4 days notice, so if you find one running one shouldn't be a problem.

There is talk of bringing it to Europe but nothing definate. RWD and 3.8 litre V6.

Current model is 3 years old so most likely if it does come to Europe it will probably be the next generation model.

Hyundai are busier launching the new Veloster here in Europe which replaced the old Coupe:

Are we talking about the Genesis saloon or coupe? High VRT and motor tax on a 3.8 litre V6 would put most if not all folks off importing one.

If you like that you may like the Kia Optima due soon.

They are not on sale here and would share nothing with any model which is as they don't use the same engines/platform etc as any euro Hyundai model.

The 3.8 was also never planned for europe, Hyundai were developing a 2.0T engine for euro models but I'd say they are just going to wait for the next gen coupe which will be the same fwd layout as the old models.

Looks well. £50k Sterling starting price on Hyundai.co.uk, nothing yet on Hyundai.ie, could be possible we won't get it as market would be tiny and it's only showing a 3.8 litre petrol engine option, perhaps they will do them on the PCP :pac:...

There is a 151 plate Genesis driving around Dublin with the 3.8. It's an Irish car from new and looks sweet

latest Genesis models look very well and have lovely interiors , seem to have more going for them than lexus. Dc motor co. have one of the small hatchbacks for sale but the larger saloons and suvs are very appealing . Considering lexus have never made inroads here , its hard to see them doing well here.

Really. Have they not. I see plenty of Lexus about everyday certainly more than Subura or Ssangyong or Mitsubishi or Fiat or Citroen these days even.

I would call them fairly successful and they hold there value great too.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Of course Lexus are selling well compared to those on your list who sell very little but compared to their actual rivals likes BMW, Audi and Mercedes, Lexus do not sell well here or across Europe. They are very good cars but they are just not on many people's shopping list.
