    Hi Guys,

So I'm trying to lose weight. I'm doing weights and cardio 4 times a week.

I only tasted Stir Fry Veg a while ago. I was wondering is having stir fry Veg twice a day healthy? I use frozen veg btw.

Also what about Steak? I know its a great source of protein. Would having a peppered steak once a day be ok?

    Heres my diet in Full.

    Breakfast: Porridge or Scrambled Eggs
    Snack: Apple
Lunch: Stir Fry Chicken & Veg with Sweet chilli stir fry sauce (Uncle Bens)
Dinner: Peppered Steak with Stir Fry Veg

What ye reckon? As far as I can see I'm getting in all my essentials?

    Thanks,

    Mark

When you say once a day, do you mean once a day, 7 days a week? Sounds like a lot of steak to me.

I wouldn't worry in the slightest about eating too much veg. You might just find that the non-frozen stuff tastes nicer / less soggy. The sweet chilli sauce on the other hand.... :)

Overall your diet looks pretty reasonable to me. A bit lacking in variety, but if you're happy and you feel good then it's a good start.

Is the Sweet Chilli Sauce bad??

Ah no well I suppose I will be varying it up abit. maybe steak 4 times a week :D

Also also know any good brands of frozen veg for stir frying?

    Thanks Again,

    Mark

That sweet chilli sauce you are using is the work of the devil and laden with sugar. Have you read the sugar content? Upping your veg and lean protein intake is fine but the sauce is like putting ten spoons of sugar on top of each.

To me your diet looks really lacking in variety. You'll tire very quickly of having the same things day in/day out.

You can change up the steak with other things like chicken, tuna, salmon, other meats and fish etc?

I understand the sauce is there for taste but its muck tbh - pick up a wide variety of herbs and spices, that way you never have to compromise on taste

Thanks for the advice. Do you mean Seasoning and things like that?

To be honest I'm finding it hard to decide on a healthy lunch. Usually I'd Have a few slices of bread.
I'm unsure if my current lunch is healthy enough?

Also somethings I make I own breaded chicken fillets, using eggs, flower & Breadcrumbs?....Whats the general opinion on them?

Actually on the Sweet Chiki sauce and sugar subject, i was only just looking at the nutritional info on it the other day (this is the uncle bens one in the kind of stand up sachet) and the sugar as 2% in it as opposed to the others in that range which were 10-20%, as were nearly everything on the shelf. Just food for thought

Its actually the Thai red chilli and coconut one, checked it again last night and its 1.5%. The fat is a good bit higher than the others so im guessing ww people wont eat it for that reason, guess the coconut milk is driving that up

The holy trinity of chinese cooking is garlic, ginger and chilli. If you blend these 3 together and use this as the "sauce" for your stir fry you really can't go wrong. Any asian shop will have jars of minced garlic and ginger, which make it an awful lot easier. After that all you need is a little soy sauce and you're onto a winner.

I'll never understand people buying packets of stir fry sauce, it's the easiest thing in the world.

Also the herbs and spices in Aldi are .59c at the moment, I bought garlic powder and ginger for this price, so you should stock up on all your seasoning there
