I can't see any thread here on the first few pages and not sure how widely it would be known(I wouldn't say very tbh)

But Oz might interest anyone who enjoyed The Wire.

Now why would I post this in The Wire forum?, well being HBO and in similar vein to The Wire and The Sopranos IMO there is a huge collection of characters from The Wire in it at some stage or another.

Story wise it's way different, but after watching through The Wire after The Sopranos, I said I'd give Oz a go since it was another HBO show.
So it was nice to see so many characters pop up along the way

    You have...

    Daniels
    Bodie
    Carv
and Carcettis assistant in prominent roles

    Along with...

    Freamon
    Rawls
    Burrell
    Herc
    Barksdale
    Cheese.

Oz is older so this was all before The Wire, kind of strange to see Barksdale in Oz for circa 30seconds when he had such a prominent role in The Wire.

I wasn't aware of the cast similarities when I started to watch it, but it would have made me more keen if i was aware from the start so just taught I'd post.

Note: Oz is more of a man's show then The Wire is(less story), but it's still a good watch

I'd stick it in 3rd behind The Wire and The Sopranos
