Im planning on hitting South America at some stage at the end of the year for between 8 and 12 weeks

could anyone recommend a route to take, sights to see, places to avoid etc

also, what sort of financial budget would i need for such a trip?

I understand Brazil is dear in comparison to other places

any tips or ideas or advice would be great!

    cheers!

Im doing the same trip shortly and ive been told to budget for around £1000 sterling per month.
Its hard to fit everything in when planning a route but i was considering, Buenos Aires - Chile - Bolivia - Peru and flying back from Ecuador. Perhaps leaving Brazil, Colombia etc to another trip.
Heard good things about Buenos Aires, Salar de Uyuni, Arequipa, Cuzco and surfing in Ecuador!!
