WIPERS NOT WORKING ON VW

Hi All, Wipers not working on '04 passat and done a Google search as do give problems with linkage... anyway again took it down and removed the linkage and motor and both are working fine....but still wipers will not function..

Hi All,

anyway again took it down and removed the linkage and motor and both are working fine....but still wipers will not function..

anyone able to help as took the linkage and motor out and tested both and they are ok, then i checked the stalk and its ok too but still no wipers

Sorry if this sounds really silly, but some vw's the wipers stop when the bonnet is opened in order to prevent the wiper arms from catching in the bonnet edge.

Not sure if this applies to your model or not but SOME aftermarket HID kits can mess with the wipers on a VW based car.
Are they fitted to yours?

Thanks but i did check the fuses first then the relay(think its 370 on these) but all ok but still not working... i just dont know
