Some of my German friends told me that because of the nuclear problem in Japan, many German people has started to buy iodine medicines and stock vegetables. So I wanna know if anyone here is doing the same thing? and where/how can we buy these medicines?

Chernobyl was a much bigger disaster and even with winds carrying the radioactivity, only small amounts made it to Ireland. http://www.irsn.fr/FR/popup/Pages/tchernobyl_video_nuage.aspx

I would doubt anything from Japan could have an effect on Ireland; maybe double-check any japanese meat or vegetables you buy in the next few months if you're very paranoid.
