Hi Guys, just doing some quick market research for a University project on second hand items. I have received the ok from the mods for this. Just a simple question for you. Would you wear a second hand wedding dress ? Please answer the poll and feel free to post a comment.

    I'd wear anything secondhand.

    And that includes wedding dress.

Actually even more so a wedding dress - the price of them new is just ridiculous. For one day! Crazy.

Absolutely... I think if you find the dress, it doesn't matter where it comes from or what it is.

I got my dress in a sample dress sale: and had looked at second hand dresses as well! I had no interest in spending 2 or 3 thousand on my dress like some of my friends did.

I definately would look at second hand dresses... especially if they were there in a shop: I don't personally like the idea of buying my dress online from a photo: and thats often were second hand dresses are!

If you find the dress you like and want I don't think there is anything wrong with it. But I think I would be a bit superstitious about it... in case it was unlucky. Sounds daft I know!

I would definitely buy a second hand dress. I've been looking on those sites since I got engaged. The only problem is I feel in love with a new one and I had to buy it. The dress is only worn for a couple of hours so i wouldn't see any problem with a second hand one. Sure men rent their suits and there worn over and over and over and over lol:P

Yes, I would if I really needed to save money or saw a dress second hand that I really liked.

However, I live in NZ and buying things second hand is a big thing here. Kiwis are really in to (just look under the wedding category on www.trademe.co.nz - you can get everything wedding related for really good-prices) and it's something I've started doing a lot more. I don't think it's nearly as big in Ireland.
