Anybody else agree terminal 2 is worse than terminal 1? Saw a family with kids trying to negotiate the whole maze of escalatores and lifts.. You checkin below then you go up 2 floors for security then you go down 2 floors for boarding gates.? Security lines are as long or longer than terminal 1 and the passport checks are worse.

Disappointed to see a billions euros wasted on a f'd-up project.. I don't like o'leary but I agree with him on the terminal.

I like the design from the outside, but inside its a shame. there was no need for 3 floors.

The hospital scenes were amazing, maybe Linda Hamilton looked a little older, but other than that, I loved it.

Pity... All the airports I've been in recently have been so easy. I'm not surprised that they messed it up.

Havent used it yet, hopefully will in the summer. If it cuts down on the queues and crowds, then Ill go up and down three floors happily.

It's not messed up at all, it's lovely.
I think they did an amazing job.
So you go up some stairs to board, big deal

Was up in Dublin airport plane spotting last weekend.Caught most of the ta aircraft coming in and out.
One odd thing is pier b did not have one aircraft at it for about 45 mins, just looked like a load of aircraft jammed at the new t2.Seems silly not to spread the load around irregardless of airline they aren't utilizing space as well as they could.

if you give it a good kick, it usually splutters for a few seconds but starts running fine then, a bit of lube would be good too

That's contrary to what 100% of people I've spoken to have said - they all love it. I think it's a fantastic building, well designed. Typical Irish to complain about everything. If it was built by god himself we'd still complain! There are a few niggles, bad signage for one, but other than that, it's lightyears ahead of the old cattle shed that is Terminal 1!

How you can think T1 is anyway better than T2 kind of baffles me.

Bare feet! Well you were lucky then. In my day we couldnt even afford feet. Had to be carried around everywhere. Kids these day!

    "Carried"?

You didn't know you were born.

We had to use our ankle stumps as pogo sticks and hop everywhere.

Use it at least twice a week. It is excellent.

Good to see Victor Meldrew on Boards.

Used it recently, very clean and bright. Can't undersatd why the Quickpark Bus doesn't pickup at T2. What really pisses me off is having to queue at passport control to re-enter my own country!

My major gripe was the lack of people working on security which meant we took ages to get through and the lack of food options once we got past.

They did have tvs showing Ireland v Scotland at some departure gates so that was a major plus.

Aside from that, it's basically like most other airports: bland.

Obviously none of those was Heathrow

It's just another boring airport building. Nothing special inside. Could do with a bar down near the gates. But when I was in it at about 12 noon on a friday it was almost empty.

FFS Linda Hamilton wasn't even in that series. And you call yourself a movie fan! So yeah, Terminal 2. Any good? Haven't seen it myself. I imagine Tom Hanks accents will once again come off as delightfully charming rather than racist & offensive.
