in recent weeks bull beef prices have reduced significantly due to high amount of killings in bull beef.Factories are now giving keener qoutes for steers.what do you think the future of beef is?

Bulls are over supplied, so the price is a bit weaker at the moment. Who knows what the future holds for beef, so many variables
    • euro-sterling exchange rate
    • weather
    • ai trends
    • barley/wheat price
    • eu policy-if mercussor goes ahead we're fcukd
    • farmer herd mentality
That's just 6 for starters, I'm sure there are lots more.

the over supply of bulls was always going to happen, most feeders saw this coming and I remember talking about this last June and now it has come to pass. heeding our own advice (unusually) we have very little bulls feeding. I have no interest in fattening bull anymore after many years of it, as its just hassle I dont need. The meat factories have lead farmers like sheep:D

Id agree there about the factories there just isnt enough markets for finished cattle and at least with steers ya can afford to hold em for a while if needed or bring em to da mart, some strange things happen around a ring even for fit cattle. I dont think the same can be said for bulls
