I am currently doing a number of short films that I need music for. Looking for original rock and electro music. For one of the film's, I am looking for very strong rising music. Anyone interested please get in touch.

Mind if I ask you a few questions on this?

How long is the film, or more specifically, how long will the piece of music you want need to be? You say you want "strong rising music" which I suspect will eventually lead to something (a chorus, riff etc)... so how long a build up part do you need before the climax point?

Also, "rock" is a massive genre....how heavy is the heaviest your willing to go?

Also, do you want any vocals / bg ambient sound effects within the track? You'd be surprised how often a vocal track can either add or detract from a visual presentation. IE, no point having a good song with the lyrics about love when the visuals depict a war scene or something (unless you're trying to be ironic or something!)

I have loads of stuff that I think could suit, but I think that I might need to edit them slightly based on your requirements.

hey thanks to everyone who wrote back with some great stuff.

To answer a few questions that came up:

The main film I am working on at the moment is a documentary about surfing on the west of Ireland. For this I am looking for a main instrumental piece of music which aid the visuals. I want the film to flow up and down like a wave so looking to have the music follow this with fades and build ups through out. I guess something along the line of Mogwai type style is what im looking for.

The other film im doing at the moment is a short comedy based around the day in the life of an awkward individual. The music im looking for here really varies alot, looking for upbeat songs for most of the film then with some slow/maybe dark/maybe depressing instrumental piece for certain parts where I want the audience to start feeling sorry for the character.
