hi, does anyone know if an iPhone4 can be connected to a BMW E60 520d radio system, so the music and phone will work, and can also be controlled via the steering wheel buttons?

i know there is seperate leads that will utilise media only, and then phone only, but having two leads is a pain

    cheers.

There's a thread here on BMW and iPhone. Maybe your answer is there?

my iPhone 4 pairs and works perfectly in my dads E60.
contacts sync no problem and i can make and receive and also scroll through my contacts from the steering wheel without any issues.

IIRC, the bluetooth connectivity is designed not to allow you to stream the music, there is a separate option for that, USB Interface i think or you can connect the 3.5mm ear phone jack to the Aux in point in the rear of the centre console, but that kinda defeats the purpose.

USB Interface is an optional extra, it must be picked at the time of ordering the car when new.
