    Nope, Its considered to be the same name.

    If you are going to use your Irish name, I would advise that you go the whole way and get everything changed, it can cause problems at the airport if you ticket is in one name and your passport in another(Forigners just dont get the whole two names thing)

    When your Passport or Drivers Licience comes up for renewal you can just ask that the Irish version of your name to be used. Once you have official ID with your name as Gaeilge you should be able to change it everywhere else.
