Shopping in Orlando

    Hi,

We're taking our daughters aged 13 and 10 to Orlando(Disney, Universal et al) for the Easter holidays. In between the theme parks we may do some shopping. Their priorities will be stuff like Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, American Eagle, Converse etc..

We're staying at the Staybridge Suites on International Drive and hope to manage most of the time without renting a car(this is not set in stone just a kindof hope).

I believe there are quite a few malls and outlet centres in the area. I don't want to spend too many days shopping so would like any info on the best places to concentrate on for this stuff.

    Thanks. Appreciate any feedback.
    J

There are two outlet stores at opposite ends of the iDrive bus so that's handy if your not driving yourself. You'll also pick up the converse here no probs, lots of colours etc..

There is the Florida mall which will appeal to the girls. That's got Abercrombie, Hollister and AE. You'll want to get a taxi there, can't remember 100% what it cost but I think it might have been 20 dollars each way. Could rent a car just for the day if going here

    Good luck with the shopping!!

The premium outlets at the top end of IDrive (past Universal) have a very good Aeropostale, plus levi's and converse, the Vineland rd outlet is also close by at the seaworld end and is slightly smaller and again good for Hilfiger, Converse and Levi's. I think there is a shuttle bus that links up to both outlets from I-drive that is quite regular too and easy to get to.

The Florida Mall was huge and definitly more accessible by taxi and had Abercrombie, Hollister and American Eagle plus Aeropostale all close by and excellent clearance sections at the back (Hollister hoodies for $20 and T-shirts from $6.90!) and the Mall at Millenia at the top end of I Drive past Universal a similar selection.

The locals apparently head to the Alamonte Mall slightly further out as apparently significantly cheaper for Hollister and Abercrombie.

i stayed in the staybridge suites when i was in florida last year too:) definitely invest in the 14 day pass for the idrive. we didn't rent a car either and this bus was perfect to get to either of the 2 shopping outlets, they have plenty of great shops there like tommy hillfiger, aeropostale, ralph lauren, nike, juicy couture etc. also teh bus brings you to the water parks which are excellent!! definitely head to florida mall, you will not be disappointed!! we literally spent days there and still didn't get to most of the shops:) they have abercrombie, hollister, american eagle, pink by victoria secret! the taxi was very cheap, we used the driver from the staybridge suites and it was only ten dollars each way i think!
