The Geordie star, 35 - one half of Ant and Dec - was attacked while watching football with pals at his local in Chiswick, West London.
The thug punched Ant in the face after shouting at him: "Where's your girlfriend?"
The taunt referred to Ant's comedy partner Declan Donnelly.

Eyewitness Giedrius Kudzinskas said: "Ant didn't react and this bloke launched himself at him and punched him in the face.

"Ant reeled back and then a big fight broke out as his mates came to help him. Other people jumped in and held back the other guy.
"The bloke was thrown out but when Ant left later, he was waiting for him. There was another lot of shouting and then Ant walked off.
"It was all totally unprovoked."
Giedrius, who spoke to the married star afterwards, said: "He was furious about what he had said to him."
He described the yob, in tracksuit bottoms and a beanie hat, as "a teenage rudeboy" - who sources said appeared drunk and had been winding up Ant all evening.
The Geordie star was with pals at The Barley Mow in Chiswick, to watch the Barcelona v Arsenal match on TV.
