Just thought I'd show you these, not just because it's a great car but because a boards.ie member took them during the last video shoot we did with the car.
Video will be out soon....damn I miss that car!

I had the 3.0ltr quattro model, 0-62 in 6.4secs it would just pull your head off. Still wafts along on the motorway with radar guidance! If you want some fun on a test drive get thee to an Audi dealer.

Did you find the MMI screen annoying in your field of vision?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but what are the big differences between the A7 and the A5 sportback, they look pretty much the same from a distance, is the A7 bigger or has more powerful engines or.....

MMI was fine, then I like the Audi interface. It didn't interfere with driving, the big screen can be closed manually if you like.

Think of the A7 as a hatchback A6 with a bit more leg room. The engines are mostly common to the Audi's, the A5 is a lot more snug in the cabin than the A7.

You kind of answered your own question their. A7 is a bigger car similar to the difference between the A4 and A6. They are some machine though.

Does anyone else find the car a bit ugly.

The front is standard enough for an Audi but isn't up to the front of the A5.

The rear is poor enough. The roof line ends far too abruptly and it doesn't level out any bit at the rear like the Merc CLS does. The rear light cluster is too blocky also.

The S-line pack which I believe includes a rear spoiler helps a lot.

Have to say I didn't find A7 particularly big inside. Loved the mmi and the new cluster is fantastic. There was just something a little off about the car inside, couldn't quite put my finger on it.

Retractable spoiler as in Bobs pictures comes as standard. S Line adds rear diffusor, maybe you are confusing it with that?

Do like the S Line though. Pics here at launch.

I really don't like the back of that car, it's got none of the curves of the front. It doesn't look in context to me.

Nope. Just thought that the spoiler was a permanent fixture on some models.

I'm with Chris on this one, the front doesn't match the back on this car.

The same could be said for the Audi A4 at the moment too.

I found the screen to intrusive into your field of view. Ended up storing it in the dash. Its a novel feature but I think a more normal one thats integrated into the dash would actually work better.

Nice car alright. Rear end is droopy though!

ohh didn't realise opinion was so divided on the A7. I like the looks from any angle mind you my test car had 20" alloys and sport suspension which mad it look lower.
I saw the s-line model at the car show and the wheels make it look great. What do you think of the new CLS then?

Dreadful looking back end on it. Not sure what it reminds me of, something very bad though.

You're not far wrong, I loved the car though. A real sense of occasion when you drive about in it.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

You spend the guts of €100k on a large executive car and it comes with Yokohama tyres?

Like the review, one error though, when comparing the 0-60 of the A7 to the 370z you mention the Z has a 0-60 of 6.4 compared to the A7 6.3sec.... thats actually miles off. The 370z has a 0-60 of between 4.7 and 5.3sec depending gearbox and driver, official and unofficial timing testing.

It is hundreds of kilo lighter and nearly 100bhp more powerful than the diesel A7 afterall!
