Do I need a physio or a new saddle

I recently bought a new road bike which came fitted with a Stelle Italia X2 saddle which has a cut out section in the centre.
It took a bit of trial and error to set up the new bike adjusting the saddle position and changing stems etc.
However only after the first couple of rides I started getting pain in the left seat bone or pelvis contact point on the saddle.
I've tried droping the nose of the saddle and moving it forward and back but this hasn't really helped.
On the last bike I had the saddle was much harder but comfortable, the X2 saddle is quite soft as road bike saddles go and I have noticed that when you push down on the saddle where the contact point would be the sides sort of collapse into the centre void.

    Does this reduce support ?
What is the function of the cut out section ?
Has anyone else had this saddle and what do you think of it ?

I've only got into road cycling in the last year so havn't really got much experience of this nature. I appreciate any of your opinions/ information.
