For big and open...get the bus or taxi to Jack Meades....Best Beer Garden ever....On a hot day
Most are covered in in the city, because of the weather. The Lantern on the Yellow Road is not too bad.
Kervicks and Harveys are good but also are mostly covered,
The Mansion House is a 3 minute walk from the city centre.

I always thought the best thing about Geoff's was their beer garden.

    But sure, thats practically indoors!
Jack Meades is by far the best, but probably too far out.

Over to the briar Rose with ya and sit out on the bench outside and shout at the traffic passing by. Then have yourself a steak and a pint for a tenner. Sure then the bok will play a few ditties. I'm not sure what more you'd want to be honest

The roof in the beer garden in Geoffs opens back, and it's some sun trap on a good day...now getting a good day may be where the real challenge lies...

True, when the roof is gone and you are sitting out for the 40 minutes that the sun shines on you, it is bloody nice! Gimme Jack Meades any day though! The pub, the garden, the staff etc are all top notch.
