DESIRE HD SMS APP NOT WORKING

    Hi folks,

    I have this problem where i'm recieving messages as normal but i cant veiw them or send a message. When i click the message widget it trys to open but does not. The circular busy icon is there as if its trying to load the messages but never does.

    Any help greatly appreciated. I had this same problem a month ago and downloaded another sms app and i noticed the standard sms app sorted itself out after a while. I've done the same again but no sign of the standard sms app sorting itself out which is the one i prefer to use.

    I'm having this problem at the moment, did you have any joy sorting the native messaging app?

    It was a very strange one. It was like that for a week so i decided to go to the meteor store and ask them. I took out the phone to show them and everything was working perfectly(typical). I havn't had the problem since and the guys in the shop told me that there had been some problem with meteor and messaging but i thought it was more so a problem with the phone. Anyway its been fine since. Maybe you should walk into a meteor store and it might start working again instantly :D

    Don't want to go down the route of using a different messaging app, want to retain the native app.

    I've been doing some research on it and there are two possibilities, the latest software update 2.2.1 I think may have caused the messaging issue or having a task killer installed.

    Task killer has been removed, so will see how that goes now. It's my wifes new phone with Three.. she loves the phone but simple errors like this are well annoying and might result in it going back shortly if it can't be sorted!
