    Hi,

I saw a few months ago on Facebook, that Carne golf club were offering membership from 15th November 2010 to 15th March 2011 for the paltry sum of €100. The only condition being that you were a member of another GUI club.

Have to say that the golf course was incredible and certainly lived up and exceeded my expectations. The people in the proshop and bar were also very friendly. They told me that the membership offer will be repeated again next year.

I'm just wondering if any other clubs in Ireland or Northern Ireland offer similar such deals? 100euro for 4 months membership is a great offer considering the quality of the course that is Carne.

I may rejoin again next year for a similar trip. But if other courses offer similar deals, I'd love to hear about it.

    Thanks!

Many clubs offer country or distance for annual prices that are far more competitive then the one you have described, and does not confine people to the long dark winter months accompanied by hail, rain and deep snow.

Totally agree. Indeed one of the best courses in the country, which is what makes this deal so good. Its a pity I live in Dublin and am so far away. Also the fact its a links means its playable nearly all winter. It's worth the 100 euro just to play it once.
