    My bro is changing his car and wants to get a car history check on the car he is thinking of buying, who would you guys recommend he uses or are they all much of a muchness ? Cheers

    I used motorcheck on mine. Found finance owed that dealer sorted. Loads of irrelevant stuff on the report but proved invaluable in the end. Think it was €35 or something.

    If you google "motorcheck voucher" you can get 20% off by entering the code. Full report then costs only €28. Well worth it for piece of mind.

    I think 35 euro is quite a lot of money to be pay during these times for the amount of information you get on these sites.

    If buying a €500 car, I agree but if spending €30,000, and if it rules out the possibility of getting stung with finance outstanding etc, then its hardly alot of cash
