Is it just me or do you find Grown men (over 40) with ponytails a bit sleazy or creepy.

I do for some reason but i can't put my finger on it precisely why, maybe its the fact that they're trying too hard to look hip for the ladies.

No, thankfully I don't judge people on their hairstyles.

no, I think guys with ponytails look fine, pretty good in many cases. what is it with men, and expecting everyone else to be all short back & sides? if someone strays from the man approved man style for men, it's not the end of the world. get over it

Generalising someone because of their hair is something sad asshats would do when your 13-14yo nevermind when your an adult.

The only thing you'll find under a ponytail is an arsehole.

The constant comparisons between him and a cave troll are unfortunate

In the early 60s it was popular to slag men who had longish hair until later when long hair became fasionable with everybody , even the older squares wanted to look cool with long hair .As for ponytails ... I couldn't give a **** .

I always pictured 99% of boards users as 30-something nerds with ponytails, heavy metal long sleeve t-shirt, and glasses. Works in IT as some kind of programmer probably and the 3% of them that have girlfriends go out with the female equivalent.

I'm certainly not one of these HURR LONG HURE IS 4 GURLS idiots (sported a big Kooks-esque mop of curls till recently when a barber decided "slight trim and tidyup" = "thin out and cut short") but I think ponytails look pretty bad on the majority of males.

1-long hair is annoying when freely blowing in the wind...
2-long hair gets in front of your face when eating...

tying it back helped when i had long hair.

To be fair, the ones that look sleazy and creepy with ponytails probably look just as sleazy and creepy without them.

I think it is strange how some guys never do anything other than have the same hair cut they had when they were 12. Growing your hair long at some point seemed worth a go. Having a beard is the same.

Most people who work in IT look nothing like described earlier either. It is a really quite a technical field without many artistic types in it. Can be rather stuff types working in it too who don't like individual thought.

Doubt I could have long hair again due to the natural course of male hair but at least I was comfortable enough with myself to try it. Many people are so afraid of anything outside their immediate group or social group. It is a pretty pathetic in my view. Really sad to see somebody it their 30s dressing as they did in their teens let alone in their 40s.
