    Hi guys,
Does anybody know which streets will be closed for the St. Patrick's Day parade and for how long? I have an important delegation in for work that day and need to get them to George's Quay from Leixlip by 4 p.m. It will have to be by taxi due to luggage, etc.

The St Patrick’s Festival Parade will take place in Dublin City on Thursday 17th March at midday. Over 500,000 people are expected to attend.

The parade will start at St Mary’s Place, before heading towards Parnell Square, O’Connell St, over O’Connell Bridge to Westmoreland St. It will then travel along Dame St and Lord Edward St, passed Christchurch Cathedral, onto Patrick St, where it finishes near St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

There will be a number of road closures in the city throughout the day. However, the Gardai will re-open roads as the parade passes. There will be no parking along the route of the paradefrom 7pm Wednesday 16th March.

The following roads will be closed from 5am to 3pm:

Dominick St Upr, Mountjoy St (tojct of Wellington St), Middle Mountjoy St, Palmerston Place, St Marys Place North, Granby Row, Parnell Square North & East, part of O’Connell St, O’connell Bridge, Westmoreland St, College Green, Dame St, Lord Edward St and Christchurch Place.

Nicholas St, Patrick St and New St South will close from 5am to 4pm. Clanbrassil St and Newmarket Square from 5am to 4:30pm.

What are the restrictions going to like in the other cities like Waterford or Cork? Are they on the internet anywhere I wonder?

Use the M50 and the tunnel.

Leaving aside any street closures, the last thing you want your delegation seeing is the real stuff that goes on in the city centre on Paddy's Day!
