    It's probably been asked before, but how old does a car have to be before it's classed as a classic?

    For tax, 30 years. For insurance, it depends.

    I remember talk of this changing to a fixed year not a rolling 30year+.. did this come in?

    Just on the NCT part, you now have to NCT everything from 1980 onwards, even if its taxed as a classic
